HBO has expanded the cast for the second season of its Harry Potter television series, announcing key additions for the upcoming adaptation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Rafe Spall (represented by B-Side and UTA) joins the production as Arthur Weasley, the eccentric Ministry of Magic official and patriarch of the Weasley family. Fresh talent includes Molly Hewitt-Richards (Curtis Brown Group) as the haunting Hogwarts resident Moaning Myrtle, and Jasper Ambrose (Sylvia Young Agency) as the eager young photographer Colin Creevey.
These new additions join previously announced Season 2 cast members, including Kit Harington as the flamboyant Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Gilderoy Lockhart, Lenny Rush as the house-elf Dobby, and Billy Barratt as a young Tom Riddle.
The core trio leads an expansive ensemble cast featuring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The veteran Hogwarts staff and adult wizarding world feature John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy.

Season 2 will build directly on that foundation as mysterious forces begin petrifying students within the castle walls.
