The Great British Bake Off – Channel 4, 8pm
The wait is finally over as The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 tonight.
Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding are back in the Bake Off tent to guide a new group of amateur bakers through 10 weeks of challenges.
This year’s judging line-up sees new judge Nigella Lawson join Bake Off veteran Paul Hollywood.
As always, the series begins with Cake Week.
Nigella sets the bakers a stout cake signature challenge before they tackle the technical and then attempt to impress with a self-portrait showstopper.

Rob Beckett takes charge of the adventure game show as 12 strangers embark on a gruelling 13-day trek through the Malaysian jungle.
The group has the chance to win a share of a £300,000 prize, but there is a catch: throughout the journey, they will be presented with tempting luxuries, with every indulgence putting their potential winnings at risk.
The first temptations include upgraded clothing and camping essentials, immediately forcing the contestants to decide what matters most.
Later, a decision threatens to create an early divide between the two groups.
Other temptations include a taxi ride to camp, a steak bake and the chance to taste food from home.
The Great British Bake Off: Second Helpings – Channel 4, 10.30pm
Bake Off fans can keep the evening going with The Great British Bake Off: Second Helpings, which airs on Channel 4 at 10.30pm.
Jon Richardson and Judi Love host the new-look companion show, joined each week by a celebrity guest to discuss the biggest moments from the main programme.
Tonight’s guests include Bake Off host Alison Hammond and new judge Nigella Lawson, who join Jon and Judi to discuss the events of Cake Week.
