Big Brother is proving a hit with viewers following its return to ITV2 and ITVX, with the launch episode attracting a consolidated audience of 1.4 million.
The new series got underway last Sunday and has delivered a dramatic opening week, with the chaos of the Bov Boys takeover, the revelation that Tays has secretly been working as Big Brother’s mole and a growing number of tensions, friendships and rivalries keeping viewers hooked.
Between Sunday and Friday, the series was streamed 4.9 million times — a 32% increase on the 3.7 million streams recorded across the same period during the 2025 series.
The show’s momentum has continued into its second week, with both Sunday’s and Monday’s episodes up 10% on the equivalent episodes last year.
Big Brother: The Group Chat is also performing strongly, recording a 9% increase compared with last year’s Big Brother: Late & Live.
And tonight, the drama continues as Jedward return to the House following their explosive confrontation with their fellow Housemates.
TONIGHT ON BIG BROTHER
Following last night’s explosive back-and-forth, Jedward returned to the House and come face-to-face with the Housemates.
As they enter the bedroom, Chelsey says, “Do you want to talk?”
John replies, “I’m ok. I think last night we talked and it escalated so I’m here to just ride out the day.”
Chelsey replies, “I know, yeah but I just wanted to talk about…”
John says, “I feel like we were talking last night and you talked to Rhianna and you talked to her. So I don’t think your intentions are in the right place to talk.”
Chelsey says, “Of course they are.”
Meanwhile, Edward says in the kitchen to Rhianna, “Rhianna we’re sorry you got upset last night. It was just constructive criticism at the end of the day. I know Lynx got to levels but we didn’t mean it to go to those levels.”
Rhianna says, “It just upset me. I didn’t ask for the criticisms. I was visibly upset so he [Lynx] asked me what happened.”
John then joins the conversation and says, “It was coming from a place of encouragement. It really was.”
A back and forth ensues and it’s clear things are far from settled.
MESSAGES FROM THE OUTSIDE RAISE QUESTIONS
Elsewhere, the Housemates are left speculating about what is happening beyond the walls of the House when tennis balls begin flying over the garden wall.
Omar retrieves one as Rhianna reads aloud, “There is still a secret mole in there.”
More tennis balls appear as Rhianna reads, “Lynx has a girlfriend.”
Lynx says, “What? I swear on my life I don’t.”
Omar then reads another, “Tiffany Pollard to enter soon.”
Big Brother soon says, “This is Big Brother. Would all Housemates go inside immediately.”
As word of the mysterious messages spreads throughout the House, questions begin to emerge over who is behind them — and whether any of the claims can be trusted.
RULE BREAK AND PUNISHMENT SPARK FURTHER FALLOUT
The Housemates are then called to the sofas, where Big Brother addresses a breach of the rules surrounding nominations.
Big Brother says, “This is Big Brother. Before you entered the Big Brother House, the rules regarding the discussion of nominations were clearly explained to all of you. To remind you all, it is against the rules for Housemates to discuss nominations with each other.”
Big Brother reveals two conversations in which nominations were discussed — one involving Chelsey, Frankie, Omar and Rhianna, and another involving Frankie, Pauline and Yasmin.
The Housemates are handed a punishment designed to make them think twice about breaking the rules.
Revealing their punishment to the House, Big Brother says, “It’s time to clean up your act and what better way to do that than clean up the Big Brother House.”
The group change into their cleaning outfits and get to work, but the punishment soon provides yet another opportunity for tensions to boil over.
Edward says, “Oh John spilt a drink.” but Yasmin catches the pair deliberately making a mess in the kitchen and says, “Don’t do that. He’s throwing yoghurt on the f**ing floor.”*
Rhianna says, “You’re wasting our food.”
John says to Rhianna, “I know you’ve never cleaned up in your life but you’re now a cleaner so you’ve got to go clean that please.”
Chelsey says, “You two have just got an issue with us but I find it funny now.”
John says, “I don’t have an issue.”
Rhianna says, “Yes, you do.”
Rhianna then says, “You’re literally the age of a f**ing grandpa.”*
John says, “You’re a posh brat.”
Lynx says, “Who gives a toss? Get the f** out.”*
Yasmin then says, “Get your suitcases and f** off! Bye.”*
With tensions still running high, mysterious messages from the outside and Jedward once again at the centre of the action, tonight’s episode looks set to deliver more drama for the Housemates — and another dose of the chaos that has helped Big Brother make such a strong start.
