Marvel Television has officially unveiled a high-stakes trailer for VisionQuest, giving fans their clearest look yet at the upcoming Disney+ original series. Debuting with a two-episode premiere on October 14, 2026, the eight-episode sci-fi thriller brings a definitive end to the groundbreaking television trilogy that began with 2021’s Emmy-winning WandaVision and continued in 2024’s supernatural hit Agatha All Along.
The series sees Paul Bettany return as Vision, following his complex dual-role appearance in the WandaVision finale. Rebooted, stripped of his Mind Stone, and possessing restored memories, White Vision has spent years laying low to avoid factions desperate to weaponize his advanced vibranium body and artificial intelligence.
Now forced into the shadows, the synthezoid initiates an internal quest for identity and purpose. To navigate his newfound humanity, Vision turns to the lingering AI personas embedded deep within his neural programming—including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and his lethal creator, Ultron.
The Plot: A Fugitive Android, a Mysterious Son, and Ultron’s Dark Return
Vision’s quiet existence is shattered when a massive bounty is placed on his head by dangerous tech hunters. Thrust onto the run, he crosses paths with Thomas Shepherd (played by Ruaridh Mollica), a mysterious teenager whose immense powers suggest he may be the reincarnated son Vision and Wanda Maximoff once shared in Westview.
As the duo flees dynamic threats—including mercenary forces led by Paladin (Todd Stashwick)—Vision finds himself caught in a psychological war for control. The central threat looms in the digital presence of Ultron (James Spader), who seeks to exploit Vision’s crisis of conscience and corrupt the synth-hero from within. To survive, Vision must protect the young companion while untangling the truth behind Tommy’s origins and resisting the dark pull of Ultron’s sinister influence.
