Andrew Garfield has revealed he’d love to be on The Celebrity Traitors. The actor told Radio 2’s Sara Cox he’s a huge fan of the show and would be up for taking part.
“I would love to do it” he told listeners this morning. “I don’t know if I can handle the pressure to be honest. I could be a faithful. I don’t think I could be a traitor for a month or however many weeks. I think I would, and you’re being filmed all the time. It’s like it’s like doing press for like three weeks, and you… I don’t think I can handle it”.
“See, this is the thing that people think. It’s like that people go both ways on this. For me, it’s actually I think actors find it hard to lie in a weird way. I find it much harder to lie. I think I’m too expressive and I’m too readable. Yeah, so I struggle”.
He also said he loved last night’s opening episode, which saw Richard E Grant accidently disclose he’s a Traitor! “He was just like a seven-year-old! It’s just like the most frustrating person to play the game with because it’s like… it’s but brilliant. I mean, legendary immediately, as Claudia said”.
“I absolutely love that show. But I’m I’m stressed. I’m really stressed for James because I love James Acaster and I’m a bit stressed watching him…”.
Garfield joined Sara to promote his new movie, The Uprising. Directed by Paul Greengrass, the movie dramatizes the 1381 Peasants’ Revolt in medieval England, with Garfield starring as a humble ploughman who becomes a revolutionary rebel leader.
Fans can also see the actor on tonight’s episode of The Graham Norton Show.
