BBC Two’s flagship music showcase, Later… With Jools Holland, is returning for its 69th series. Broadcast from the grand Alexandra Palace Theatre in North London, the legendary late-night music show kicks off its brand-new run with a signature mix of chart-topping pop, indie breakthroughs, soulful new talent, and exclusive interviews with rock royalty.

Who is on the Later… With Jools Holland Lineup?

The series premiere features an eclectic mix of veteran hitmakers and rising stars performing live in the round:

  • Paul Heaton: Toping the bill is former Housemartins and Beautiful South frontman Paul Heaton, bringing his distinct, sharp songwriting and classic indie-pop catalogue to the Ally Pally stage.
  • Skye Newman: Rising pop-soul sensation Skye Newman delivers a standout performance, bringing her powerful vocals and breakout singles to the national spotlight.
  • DC3: Bringing high-energy, contemporary rhythms to the studio.
  • Mary in the Junkyard: The hotly tipped South London indie trio showcase their raw, angular sound and poetic lyrical style.
  • Dermot Henry: Rounding out the night’s musical guest list with a compelling live performance.

Special Guest: Johnny Marr

In addition to the live performances, host Jools Holland sits down for an in-depth interview with legendary guitarist and songwriter Johnny Marr.

The former Smiths icon chats about his brand-new album, The Age of Everything, breaking down his creative process and songwriting inspiration. Marr also opens up about his recent headline-grabbing guitar auction, which saw the rock legend sell off more than 80 guitars spanning his near 45-year career in music.
