Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley is set to step down from her starring role in Channel 5’s hit cozy crime drama The Good Ship Murder, bowing out in a dramatic festive send-off during the show’s upcoming Christmas special.
A New Chapter on the High Seas
Tyldesley’s departure marks a major shift for the series, leaving co-star Shayne Ward without his longtime partner-in-crime-solving. Producers are currently keeping details of Ward’s next leading lady under wraps, with an official casting announcement expected in the coming months.
However, fans have plenty to look forward to: Doctor Who legend Peter Davison is officially joining the cast. Davison will step into the role of Jack Grayling’s father, bringing extra family drama and veteran star power to the upcoming season.
