David Walliams has allegedly been removed from an upcoming feature film following allegations of misconduct, TMZ reports.
A source close to production for The Road to Nevermore told TMZ that Walliams was removed from the project after allegations against him surfaced. The road movie follows two delusional Irish poets who ditch their stalker-fan and blow her life savings on a trip to the Swiss Alps seeking spiritual enlightenment. Their journey involves a UFO hoax, an earth-worshipping cult, a fog-bound mountain barn, a celebrity poetry reading, and eventually stumbling into Nevermore—a polite, looping 1950s-style town where poetry and phones are banned.
Filming for the project remains in its early stages, with Walliams—whose castmates were set to include William Baldwin and Leo Gregory—having only been included on a preliminary cast list. According to TMZ’s source, Walliams never signed an official contract for the film, and his name has since been pulled from the movie’s cast listing on IMDb.
The recast marks the latest development in a growing professional fallout for the Little Britain star and comedian.
Publishing house HarperCollins initially dropped Walliams from future book deals following allegations of inappropriate behavior toward female employees. In September 2026, the publisher confirmed it would also stop publishing his entire back catalog. Talent agency YMU is also no longer actively representing him.
Walliams has strongly denied all allegations of wrongdoing, stating he was never informed of the claims by HarperCollins, nor was he given an opportunity to respond.
The current controversy follows Walliams’ exit as a judge on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2022 after leaked audio revealed he made explicit and derogatory remarks about contestants during filming breaks in 2020. Following his departure, Walliams launched a High Court suit against the show’s production company, Fremantle, claiming misuse of private information and breach of data protection laws. Fremantle apologised for the distress caused by the leaked private conversations, and the legal dispute was settled in November 2023.
