The Celebrity Traitors may be reaching its dramatic conclusion, but fans won’t have to wait until the finale to see two of this year’s most memorable contestants back on screen. Ross Kemp and Miranda Hart are both heading to The One Show tonight, just hours before the remaining celebrities discover who has played the ultimate game of deception.
Fans of The Celebrity Traitors are in for an extra treat this evening, as two familiar faces from this year’s series reunite on live TV.
Ross Kemp and Miranda Hart will both appear on BBC One’s The One Show tonight (Friday, October 30), giving viewers another opportunity to catch up with the former contestants after their dramatic departures from Claudia Winkleman’s hit reality competition.
The appearance comes on a particularly exciting night for fans, with The Celebrity Traitors preparing to reach its long-awaited conclusion. After weeks of murders, banishments, suspicious behaviour and some extraordinary twists, the remaining contestants are just hours away from discovering who can be trusted and who has been playing everyone else.
The One Show airs at 7pm on BBC One, with the Celebrity Traitors finale following at 8pm.
Ross Kemp’s dramatic Celebrity Traitors exit
Ross Kemp was one of the most recognisable faces to enter the castle this year, but the actor and documentary presenter proved that being a familiar television personality doesn’t necessarily make you any better at spotting a Traitor.
Best known for his roles in EastEnders and his hard-hitting documentary series, Kemp entered the competition as a Faithful, hoping to uncover the celebrities secretly working against the group.
However, his time in the castle came to an end in episode nine, when the Traitors carried out one of the show’s most memorable murders.
Rather than simply selecting their next victim behind closed doors, the Traitors arranged a murder in plain sight. Ross was killed through a sleeping-potion twist, with a seemingly innocent yawn playing a crucial role in the plan.
It was a particularly clever move, demonstrating just how far the remaining Traitors were prepared to go to avoid suspicion.
Ross’s departure was a significant blow for the Faithful, who lost another contestant without getting any closer to identifying everyone responsible.
His exit also provided one of the series’ most entertaining talking points, as viewers watched the Traitors manipulate the situation while attempting to keep their identities hidden.
Miranda Hart was another Faithful to fall victim
Miranda Hart was another much-loved celebrity whose time in the castle ended before reaching the final.
The comedian and actress quickly became a memorable presence in the competition, bringing her trademark humour and personality to a game that demanded constant suspicion, strategic thinking and nerves of steel.
Playing as a Faithful, Miranda was ultimately unable to uncover the identities of the Traitors before they decided she had to go.
She was murdered in episode eight, becoming another casualty of the increasingly ruthless game.
Her departure was particularly disappointing for viewers who had enjoyed seeing the comedy star outside her usual television roles. Having spent much of her career making audiences laugh, Miranda found herself caught up in a very different kind of entertainment, where a friendly conversation could conceal a deadly plan.
Like Ross, she left the castle without securing a place in the final, but both stars have remained part of the conversation surrounding this year’s series.
Their appearance on The One Show offers fans a chance to hear more from the pair following their experiences, and potentially revisit some of the memorable moments from their time in Scotland.
The Celebrity Traitors finale: who is left in the castle?
While Ross and Miranda will be enjoying life outside the castle, seven celebrities are preparing for the biggest night of the competition.
The remaining contestants are:
- Maya Jama – Traitor
- King Kenny – Traitor
- Michael Sheen – Faithful
- Romesh Ranganathan – Faithful
- Leigh-Anne Pinnock – Faithful
- James Blunt – Faithful
- Sebastian Croft – Faithful
The atmosphere heading into the final has been particularly tense following Thursday night’s explosive episode.
James Acaster, who had been recruited as a Traitor, finally found himself under serious pressure at the Round Table. With suspicion mounting, he made the extraordinary decision to admit that he had been made a Traitor, before being banished by his fellow contestants.
His confession changed the entire dynamic of the game and left Maya Jama and King Kenny as the two remaining Traitors.
For the Faithful, the challenge is now to work out whether either of them is still hiding in plain sight.
Michael Sheen has emerged as a particularly important figure in the final stages, with his suspicions about Maya potentially creating serious problems for the remaining Traitors.
However, with the prize money still up for grabs, nobody can afford to make a mistake.
What to expect from tonight’s Celebrity Traitors final
After four weeks of deception and dramatic twists, the finale promises to deliver one last showdown between the Faithful and the Traitors.
The remaining celebrities will face a final opportunity to identify the people who have been manipulating the game from within. The decisions made around the Round Table could determine whether the Faithful finally get their revenge or whether the surviving Traitors manage to walk away with the prize.
The final seven are competing for a prize pot of up to £100,000 for charity, making the stakes particularly high.
Will Michael Sheen’s suspicions prove correct? Can Maya Jama and King Kenny continue their deception following James Acaster’s confession? And will the Faithful manage to expose the remaining Traitors before it’s too late?
With the competition now down to its final stages, there is every possibility of another shock departure before the winner is revealed.
The finale airs tonight, Friday, October 30, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The extended episode is scheduled to run until 9.20pm, followed by the final edition of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by Ed Gamble.
