Full Preview: Tonight’s Big Brother
Tonight’s episode sees the fallout from Friday’s double eviction reach breaking point as power dynamics shift, friendship loyalty is put to the test, and a brutal mystery game exposes deep-seated house tensions ahead of the final week.
Following the departure of Philip and Rhianna, Sam reflects on surviving yet another eviction, declaring in the Diary Room to Big Brother: “I think the hierarchy has successfully been toppled. You could say Philip was a king and some would say he was the queen. But all we know is that a king/queen and their princess has been dethroned.”
However, the mood quickly turns tense as the remaining contestants question Rochelle’s handling of comments made by her husband during his visit.
When Rochelle asks, “Yas, are you alright? I’m sorry it wasn’t me,” speculation begins to swirl among the group over whether her husband’s outside comments were directed at Philip.
Defending her decision not to confront him, Rochelle asks: “Why would I want to bring it up with him [Philip]?”
A skeptical Yasmin pushes back, asking: “Why would you not? If my friend had said about Frankie, I would have been up here like ‘what the f have you been saying?’”* Before adding: “Can you see yourself having a friendship with Philip on the outside?”
In the Diary Room, Rochelle admits she feels isolated from the rest of the group: “Of course I’m going to miss them – both of them. I don’t dislike anyone. I love Philip and I love Rhianna. It will be weird without Philip. They’re not happy that I’ve stayed. They would rather Rhianna stay than me but I don’t give a st.”
As the housemates attempt to process the shift in dynamics, Big Brother delivers a major twist: “Housemates the House of Horror is no more and the final week is upon you. As you fight for your place in the Final, it’s time to live in the House of Mystery.”
To kick off the final week, Big Brother gathers the housemates for a blindfolded game of “Pass The Poison.” Assigned secret numbers, contestants are asked revealing questions by Big Brother and must place poison in front of the housemate they believe fits the description, leaving the victim to guess who targeted them.
When one housemate labels Sam the “most forgettable,” he removes his blindfold and responds: “That’s quite nice to know that one of you considers me forgettable.”
The game takes a sharp personal turn when Twinks labels a fellow housemate “the most delusional,” delivering a scathing critique: “I think sometimes your experiences come from a place of privilege. There can be a lack of understanding about certain things and that can come across as just like in a wider concept, a little bit delusional.”
With key questions still looming—including who Omar thinks stirs the pot the most and which housemate Frankie believes sucked up to Tiffany the most—will the contestants figure out who passed them the poison, and what are the stakes as the final week begins?
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
