How does the Capital Plus pre-sale work?

Capital Plus is Global’s paid subscription service, designed to let listeners enjoy their favourite Capital stations without traditional advertising breaks.

For £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year, subscribers get:

• Ad-free listening across Capital, Capital Dance, Capital Xtra, Capital Xtra Reloaded, Capital Chill and Capital Anthems.
• Priority access to events, including the Jingle Bell Ball.
• One competition entry every week.
• 15% off the official Capital merchandise store.
• Access to The Debrief, an exclusive subscriber newsletter.

New subscribers can also try Capital Plus free through the Global Player mobile app. The free trial is only available for subscriptions taken out through the mobile app and is limited to one trial per customer across Global’s radio subscription packages.

Importantly, you don’t necessarily have to pay for a full subscription just to access the ticket pre-sale if you’re eligible for the free trial. Check the subscription terms before signing up.

How do Capital Plus subscribers receive their ticket link?

Once subscribed, fans will receive a welcome email, followed by a separate email ahead of the pre-sale containing their ticket link and access code.

Alternatively, subscribers who are logged into Global Player can find the ticket link in their Home Hub.

The link takes customers through to AXS, where they can complete their ticket purchase.

Do you need Capital Plus to get Jingle Bell Ball pre-sale tickets?

No. Barclaycard customers have their own separate pre-sale, so they don’t need a Capital Plus or Radio Plus subscription to qualify for that offer.

Radio Plus subscribers are also eligible for the Capital pre-sale, meaning there are three ways to access tickets before general sale:

• Capital Plus subscription.
• Radio Plus subscription.
• Eligible Barclaycard or Barclays Premier card.

However, the 10% ticket discount is specifically associated with the Barclaycard offer, rather than being a general Capital Plus subscriber benefit.
