Is Katy Perry Planning Tell-All Documentary on Russell Brand?

Katy Perry is reportedly preparing to tell her side of the story regarding her tumultuous marriage to Russell Brand following the comedian’s criminal conviction.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the pop superstar is currently in active talks with major streaming networks, including Netflix and Hulu, for a high-profile tell-all docuseries, as well as considering an upcoming autobiography detailing her time with Brand.

The explosive move comes just days after a jury at London’s Southwark Crown Court found Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault following a high-profile four-week trial.

According to sources close to the 41-year-old singer, Perry purposefully held back on discussing her past relationship while legal proceedings against her former husband were ongoing.

‘Katy has received multiple offers over the years to tell her story but would not consider anything until after the trial. She has a lot to say.

‘At the moment she’s considering a Netflix-type series and an autobiography. She and her team have been in active discussions’ a Hollywood insider tells the newspaper.

Perry and Brand were married in a lavish traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India, in October 2010.

However, the marriage was famously short-lived, with Brand ending the 14-month union via text message just moments before Perry took the stage for a concert in December 2011. While the singer has occasionally hinted at the deep emotional toll of the marriage in past years, she has never fully detailed the scope of her experience during that period.

Insiders note that with the criminal trial concluded and Brand facing significant prison time, Perry is finally ready to break her silence on what sources describe as a deeply dark period of her life.

No documentary has been confirmed.
