Who Is on Tonight’s Mock the Week Panel?

Joining host Dara Ó Briain and series regular Rhys James for tonight’s episode are:

  • Hugh Dennis
  • Sara Pascoe
  • Ahir Shah
  • Laura Lexx
  • Scott Bennett

Tonight’s agenda sees the team tackling major political shifts, including the appointment of new Prime Minister Andy Burnham and plans for a “No. 10 North.”

Reacting to the government’s emergency alert, Rhys James observes:

“The only thing I’ve really noticed from him, is when he did his big alert……he sort of texted us saying don’t do a BBQ. And do you know what was mad about it? At the exact time I got the alert, that second, I was lighting a BBQ, I didn’t know anyone else got the alert……I thought he could see me.”

Contemplating the proposed regional Downing Street, Sara Pascoe remarks:

“I like the whole No.10 thing, I think the No. 10 brand is very strong and they can open even more … like a No.10 Metro, a No.10 Express, little No.10 for some little democracy bits for on the way home, No.10 Deliveroo, so if it’s raining they just bring it to your door.”

Hugh Dennis adds:

“In the end he’ll have to decide which No.10 he resigns in front of.”

While Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Ahir Shah quips:

“I think it’s the first time a politician has tried to become more popular by getting a second home.”
