Where to watch Will Young on his 25th anniversary UK tour in 2027 – and how to get tickets

If you’re watching The One Show tonight, you’ll know that Will Young has announced a brand new tour.

The singer is set to celebrate 25 years in music with a major UK tour in 2027, taking his Evergreen 25th Anniversary Tour to 16 cities across the country. Pre-sale and general sale tickets are available here.

Young will kick off the tour at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on February 20, before travelling to Newcastle, Liverpool, Glasgow, York, Sheffield, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford, Brighton, Southend, Bournemouth, Plymouth, London and Cardiff. The final show will take place at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on March 13.

The tour comes 25 years after Young won the first series of Pop Idol in 2002. Accompanied by his band, he will perform songs from throughout his career, including some of his biggest hits such as Evergreen, Leave Right Now, Light My Fire and Jealousy.

Speaking about the milestone, Young said:

“To reach 25 years is a privilege and an honour. Who knew entering a competition by cutting out a piece from the newspaper would lead to the most exciting 20 weeks of my life in Pop Idol and a relationship with the public that has lasted for so long. People voted and trusted me and that has forever been a dream come true.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with the full band and get to play ‘Evergreen’ as well as all the songs that have come since from ‘Light My Fire’ to ‘You and I’ to ‘Leave Right Now’ to ‘Jealousy’ and onwards. Can’t wait to see everyone who trusted in me during Pop Idol and since, at the anniversary shows.”

The tour takes its name from Evergreen, Young’s debut single following his Pop Idol victory. The track became a huge commercial success, selling more than 1.7 million copies and becoming the UK’s second-best-selling single of the 21st century.

Tickets for the Evergreen 25th Anniversary Tour go on general sale at 10am on Friday, October 2.

The tour follows Young’s ninth studio album, Light It Up, which was released in 2024. He subsequently took the record on a sold-out acoustic tour later that year.
