James Norton is set to host Saturday Night Live UK on October 17, 2026, so you might be wondering if he has a new film or TV site to promote? Well the answer is yes. As well as filming a second season of House of Guinness for Netflix, he’s about to return to the big screen in Guy Ritchie’s feature film Wife & Dog and he’s also preparing for a West End production of Hamlet.
The Happy Valley and McMafia star takes the stage on Sky One this month as part of a high-profile October hosting lineup alongside Danny Dyer and Cynthia Erivo.
What Is Guy Ritchie’s ‘Wife & Dog’ About?
Norton is in the ensemble cast of Wife & Dog, the upcoming feature film from director Guy Ritchie. He stars alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Plot details remain under wraps, but the official synopsis outlines a dark, high-stakes story:
“The relentless greed of the Fairbank family and their associates fuels betrayal and murder in the battle for succession.”
wheretowatch.tv understands the project offers a sharp, satirical take on the British aristocracy, carrying a tone and style reminiscent of Ritchie’s previous hit, The Gentlemen.
