Harry Potter fans have a new magical destination to explore in the heart of London, as Britain’s new flagship Harry Potter Shop has officially opened on Oxford Street today.
The hugely anticipated store, which spans two floors, brings the wizarding world to one of the capital’s busiest shopping destinations, with an immersive experience inspired by the iconic Diagon Alley.
And there was a special guest to help celebrate the opening, with Harry Potter star Tom Felton visiting the new store and admitting he was blown away by the attention to detail.
The actor, who famously played Draco Malfoy in the hugely successful film franchise, was clearly impressed by the new attraction, which promises to give fans the opportunity to experience a little of the magic for themselves.
Speaking after his visit, Tom said:
“I’m absolutely blown away. I can’t believe the attention to detail here, it takes me right back to set.
To think, we’re just around the corner from the location of the premiere of the Philosopher’s Stone. Who would have thought twenty-five years ago that we’d be opening a flagship shop on Oxford Street. What a special place this shop is for fans. Just can’t wait for them to see it.”
What can you find inside the new Harry Potter shop?
Inspired by one of the most recognisable locations in the Harry Potter universe, the Oxford Street flagship has been designed to recreate the atmosphere of Diagon Alley.
Spread across two floors, the store features beautifully themed spaces, exclusive merchandise and plenty of magical details for fans to discover.
Visitors can browse a unique selection of Harry Potter gifts, combining much-loved favourites with products created exclusively for the new store.
Among the highlights are customised Hogwarts house robes, exclusive trunks, notebooks and the popular personalised Acceptance Letter, which can be customised with your own name and address.
Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, there should be something to tempt fans of every Hogwarts house.
Experience the Hogwarts Bear Ceremony
One of the most exciting attractions available exclusively at Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street is the new Hogwarts Bear Ceremony.
This interactive experience allows fans to celebrate the magic of the Sorting Ceremony, recreating one of the most memorable traditions from the wizarding world.
It’s an opportunity to enjoy a special experience during your visit and take home a unique reminder of your time in the store.
The Hogwarts Bear Ceremony must be booked in advance through the shop’s website.
Where is the new Harry Potter shop in London?
The new flagship store is located on Oxford Street in central London, making it an ideal destination for Harry Potter fans visiting the capital or those enjoying a day of shopping.
Its location is particularly fitting given its proximity to the site associated with the premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone 25 years ago, something Tom Felton highlighted during his visit.
