Big Brother returns tonight (Wednesday, September 30) with the Housemates facing a fresh round of nominations — but this time they have to decide who will lose their own power to nominate.
The latest episode comes as the House of Nothing continues to cause tension inside the Big Brother House. Following a week in which the Housemates have been stripped of their voices, possessions and furniture, Big Brother is now restoring nominations — but with a major twist.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. ITV says the current series has already generated 12.7 million streams on ITVX, up 50% year-on-year, with the latest run of episodes continuing to attract strong audiences.
Tonight’s episode sees the Housemates nominate for the second time, while arguments erupt as groups are forced to decide which of their fellow contestants should be prevented from nominating.
Big Brother tonight: Who will lose the power to nominate?
The Housemates gather in the living area as Big Brother announces that nominations are being returned — but not everyone will get the opportunity to use them.
Big Brother says, “As part of this week’s House of Nothing, you were stripped of your voices, your possessions and the house furniture. You have also been stripped of your nominations. Today, nominations will be returned, but not all of you will receive them.”
The Housemates are randomly divided into three groups of four.
Group 1: Harry, Philip, Rob and Samuel.
Group 2: Omar, Rhianna, Johanne and Rochelle.
Group 3: Lynx, Yasmin, Frankie and Pauline.
The first group is sent into the deliberation room and given a difficult task.
Big Brother says, “Housemates, to earn back your nominations, today you must decide which person from Group 2 will not be able to nominate this week…”
Harry immediately puts Johanne forward as the potential target, saying, “Johanne would go off her t*ts.”
Philip agrees, responding, “Oh do you know what, I think that myself, Johanne would go off.”
But that is only the beginning.
Each group must ultimately decide which Housemate in another group will be stripped of their right to nominate, meaning three Housemates will not regain their nomination power this week.
Nomination deliberations lead to another Big Brother argument
The tension rises further when Omar, Rhianna, Johanne and Rochelle enter the deliberation room.
Their task is to select one Housemate from Yasmin, Lynx, Frankie and Pauline who will lose their right to nominate.
Johanne immediately argues that Pauline should be protected.
She says, “Okay, let’s go first. I think Pauline should not lose her right to nominate because she has been up for nominations twice, you know, and that’s brutal, that’s stressful. And it’s also proven based off of the public and what they can see, they can see more than what we see, it’s obvious that she’s a nice person. So I think she should not lose her right to nominate.”
Omar disagrees, explaining, “I disagree but, for like, everyone in the group I talk to a lot, other than Pauline’s the only person I don’t talk to that much.”
Rochelle then gives her view, saying, “Pauline’s the one that I least get along with, not that she’s not a nice person, everyone’s a nice person, but out of who I speak to the most, obviously…”
Johanne pushes back, reminding the group that Pauline has already faced nominations twice.
She says, “She has been up for nominations twice… nobody has had it more brutal in this house that’s still here than her. So let’s table that…”
However, the group struggles to agree.
Big Brother threatens to take the decision out of their hands
As the discussion continues, the Housemates fail to reach a unanimous decision.
Big Brother warns them that there is another way of settling the matter.
Big Brother says, “If Housemates cannot reach a unanimous decision, Big Brother will take a majority vote.”
Omar subsequently explains his position on Pauline, saying, “Pauline, because we don’t feel like she’s a major contributor to the House compared to everyone else that’s listed in that group.”
That immediately prompts a furious response from Johanne.
She says, “That’s a lie. That is a lie. I don’t believe that. I think she contributes more to this house than everybody in this room. Because, Rochelle, she has done the most heinous things in this house…”
Rochelle responds, “What are you on about?”
And another argument between Rochelle and Johanne follows.
The latest confrontation adds another layer to the already tense atmosphere inside the House of Nothing, where relationships and alliances are being tested by Big Brother’s latest twist.
Big Brother nominations return
After the deliberations, it is finally time for the Housemates to nominate for the second time.
The latest nominations could have major consequences, with the Housemates now having to decide who they want to face the public vote.
Frankie reveals one of their choices in the Diary Room, saying, “My first nomination is… She’s a liar and she’s also a gameplayer…”
Johanne also reveals one of her nominations, explaining, “My second nomination… I feel like our conversation is not even surface. You know, we did have a breakthrough today, I’m not gonna lie, I’m gonna tell it how it is. But that breakthrough doesn’t negate all of my past experiences with him, it’s just a place to grow from.”
Yasmin also explains the reasoning behind her second nomination.
She says, “My second nomination unfortunately is… If he wasn’t here, it wouldn’t be like a great big miss, not for me anyway, maybe for other people but I forget he’s there. And I feel like, it’s good that he’s not involved in the drama but I also think like sitting on the fence and not really having anything to say is a bit, I don’t know, like, have an opinion, have something to say…”
Rochelle is also asked to reveal her second nomination, responding, “[blank]. I don’t like her either so I can’t, there’s no beating around the bush with it…”
With nominations now complete, attention turns to the crucial question: which Big Brother Housemates will be facing eviction this week?
