Marble Hall Murders begins on BBC One this Saturday, September 26, with Lesley Manville and Tim McMullan returning for the final instalment of Anthony Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland mysteries.
BBC One is bringing viewers a new murder mystery this weekend with Marble Hall Murders, a six-part drama based on the best-selling novel by Anthony Horowitz, CBE.
The new series arrives on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 26 September at 9.35pm, with Academy Award-nominated actress Lesley Manville returning as former book editor Susan Ryeland.
The drama is the third and final instalment in Horowitz’s Susan Ryeland series, following Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders.

Marble Hall Murders follows Susan Ryeland as she becomes involved in another mystery after being hired to work on a continuation of the fictional Atticus Pünd detective novels.
The job brings Susan into the world of a troubled young author, played by Jamie Blackley, but events take a much darker turn when another murder occurs.
Susan unexpectedly finds herself becoming a suspect as she attempts to uncover the truth.
Alongside Susan’s investigation is the fictional detective at the heart of the books within the books. Tim McMullan returns as the celebrated literary detective Atticus Pünd, who is investigating a murder of his own within the novel.
In the fictional story, Pünd travels to the Greek island of Corfu, where he becomes involved in the murder of Lady Margaret Chalfont, played by Patricia Hodge.
Pünd investigates the Chalfont family with the help of a Greek detective, played by Zubin Varla.
The series therefore follows two mysteries running alongside each other, with Susan Ryeland’s real-world investigation intersecting with the fictional case contained within the Atticus Pünd novel.
