Tonight’s Coronation Street promises more drama for the Platt family as the mystery surrounding Jodie Ramsey takes another twist. After weeks of manipulation, lies and attempts to drive a wedge between Shona Platt and David Platt, Jodie has finally been exposed — but that doesn’t mean the family is free of her influence.

With Jodie disappearing from hospital and questions lingering over the events surrounding her shooting, viewers are left wondering where she has gone and what she might do next.

Where has Jodie gone in Coronation Street?

Jodie’s disappearance comes after a turbulent few days for the Platts. Her schemes against sister Shona have been unravelled, while her disturbing attempts to get closer to brother-in-law David have left the couple determined to put an end to her behaviour.

The situation escalated when David and Shona discovered a box of belongings linked to Jodie, including a police badge and a gun belonging to DS Lisa Swain. During a confrontation, Jodie was accidentally shot with the weapon — which she had claimed was a replica.

David and Shona rushed to get her medical help, but they also made decisions that could come back to haunt them. David disposed of the gun, while the pair gave the police an account of events that concealed their involvement.

Jodie survived and was taken to hospital. However, when Shona later returned to see her, she discovered that Jodie had discharged herself and vanished.

Her sudden disappearance raises an obvious question: where has she gone, and is she planning her next move?

The recording at the centre of the latest storyline could prove significant as Jodie’s secrets continue to unravel. Her use of recordings has already shown how willing she is to manipulate those around her and use other people’s secrets to protect herself.

Bethany Platt had begun to realise that something was badly wrong with Jodie’s behaviour. But when Bethany threatened to tell Shona what she had discovered, Jodie retaliated with a recording of Bethany speaking to Kit about their night together.

The revelation left Bethany in a difficult position. Exposing Jodie could mean putting her own private life under scrutiny, giving Jodie another way to keep her quiet.

With Jodie now missing, any recording that could expose the truth may be more important than ever. Could it provide evidence of what she has been doing, or might she use it to put further pressure on the Platts?
