In the tense season finale of the BBC’s game show on Friday night, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft emerged victorious on The Celebrity Traitors.
Playing as Faithfuls, the duo banished the final remaining Traitor, King Kenny, before voting to finish the game and share the £83,000 cash prize among their designated charities.
Twenty-four-year-old Heartstopper actor Sebastian announced that his portion of the funds would be donated to Choose Love, a charity where he has previously volunteered.
He said: “The money will be going to refugees and displaced people, but predominantly queer refugees and displaced people, and they are just the best organisation.”
Comedian Romesh, 48, selected the Refugee Council as his chosen charity.
He said: “I am playing for the Refugee Council, helping displaced people who need help, and it’s a cause that’s very close to my heart, so I’m very, very grateful for this.”
Looking back on their joint win, Sebastian shared his excitement.
Reflecting on his victory alongside Romesh, Sebastian said: “That was just incredible.”
Getting emotional, he added: “This might actually be the best day of my life.”
Romesh expressed hope that his success would make his family proud—especially his 11-year-old son, Charlie, who had urged him to join the Claudia Winkleman-hosted series.
He said: “I just really hope my mum’s proud, and also my youngest son, Charlie, who wanted me to come on the show. Dad won.”
The funnyman then joked: “Please show me some respect.”
The dramatic finale briefly saw 52-year-old singer James Blunt on the verge of sharing the victory with Romesh and Sebastian, until his fellow Faithfuls turned on him and voted to banish him.
Earlier in the episode, the deceitful streak of Traitors King Kenny, 29, and Love Island presenter Maya Jama, 32, came undone after their plot to “murder” 57-year-old actor Michael Sheen sparked widespread mistrust among the group.
Former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 35, was voted out at the final Round Table. A string of tactical blunders—including targeting Romesh because she could not bring herself to vote for Maya—convinced the rest of the Faithfuls that she was secretly a Traitor.
This left Kenny as the lone Traitor advancing to the high-stakes Firepit, where contestants had to decide whether to stop or keep banishing players to root out any remaining deceivers.
A tied vote initially fell between Kenny and James, but Romesh and Sebastian ultimately cast the deciding votes to eliminate the YouTube personality.
Confident they had cleared out the last Traitor, Romesh and Sebastian voted to wrap up the game. However, James harboring doubts about Romesh triggered one final banishment round.
Romesh and Sebastian joined forces to vote out the You’re Beautiful singer, securing the full £83,000 jackpot for their charities.
