The Celebrity Traitors returns tonight, Thursday October 1, with 21 famous faces entering the castle for a new series of deception, secret missions and dramatic round-table decisions.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the second series of the celebrity edition of the hit BBC reality show begins on BBC One at 8pm tonight, with the full cast set to discover who they can trust – and who they cannot.
The new line-up features some of the UK’s biggest names from television, film, music, comedy, sport and broadcasting, including Michael Sheen, Maya Jama, Richard E Grant, James Blunt, Bella Ramsey and Miranda Hart.

Michael Sheen
Welsh actor Michael Sheen is among the biggest names entering the castle. Known for film, television and stage work, Sheen joins the game alongside some of Britain’s best-known comedians, presenters and performers.
Maya Jama
Maya Jama is swapping her usual presenting duties for the Traitors castle. The broadcaster is best known to many viewers as the host of Love Island, having also fronted a number of other television programmes.
Bella Ramsey
Bella Ramsey joins the celebrity cast after gaining international recognition for roles including Ellie in The Last of Us and Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones.
Richard E Grant
Screen star Richard E Grant is also taking part. The actor is particularly associated with Withnail and I, while his extensive film career includes Gosford Park, The Iron Lady, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Saltburn.
James Blunt
Singer-songwriter James Blunt is heading into the castle after finding worldwide fame with songs including You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.
James Acaster
Comedian James Acaster is among the five comedians in the cast. Known for his stand-up work and television appearances, he will now have to put his observational skills to use in a game where deception is central to survival.
Joanne McNally
Irish comedian and podcaster Joanne McNally is another familiar comedy name joining the series.
Joe Lycett
Comedian and presenter Joe Lycett will also be attempting to navigate the castle, where contestants must decide who among them is secretly working as a Traitor.
Rob Beckett
Rob Beckett brings another comedy background to the line-up. He joins several fellow comedians as the celebrities compete to stay in the game.
Romesh Ranganathan
Romesh Ranganathan is also entering the competition. The comedian, presenter and writer will have to balance his usual humour with the demands of a game built around suspicion and deception.

When does The Celebrity Traitors start?
The Celebrity Traitors series 2 starts tonight, Thursday October 1, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The opening episode is an extended 75-minute launch, with the celebrities arriving at the castle before the game gets under way.
The series is scheduled to continue with episodes airing on Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm, with the 10-episode run currently scheduled to conclude on Friday October 30.

Who is hosting The Celebrity Traitors?
Claudia Winkleman returns as host for the second celebrity series.
She will once again oversee the contestants as they navigate the castle, with the celebrity players divided into Faithfuls and Traitors.
The Faithfuls must identify the Traitors before they are eliminated from the game, while those secretly chosen as Traitors have to deceive the rest of the cast and avoid being exposed.
What is the prize on The Celebrity Traitors?
The celebrity contestants are competing for a charity prize of up to £100,000, with the successful contestant or contestants able to win money for a charity of their choice.
With 21 celebrities entering the castle and only some of them secretly assigned as Traitors, the central question of the new series will be the same as ever: who can the contestants actually trust?
