Alan Carr is set to embark on another outrageous television adventure, with the comedian launching a brand-new series that will see him travel the world in search of the ultimate bucket-list experiences.

The new show, titled Alan Carr’s Great Big Bucket List, will launch on Friday, November 27, on Prime Video, and is likely to get fans talking as Carr continues to build an impressive run of television projects.

The announcement comes as viewers are also remembering Carr’s appearance on last year’s Celebrity Traitors, where he was crowned the winner of the hit reality competition.

Originally developed under the title The Fck It List*, the four-part series will see Alan team up with some of his comedian friends for an international adventure, putting famous bucket-list experiences to the test.

The idea is simple: discover which experiences really are worth trying before you die, and which should be consigned to the F*ck It List forever.

Who is joining Alan Carr on Great Big Bucket List?

Alan won’t be travelling alone, with several familiar comedy faces already confirmed to join him.

Jack Dee, Tom Allen and Joanne McNally are among the special guests taking part, with further names still to be announced.

Filming has already begun, with the production travelling across Iceland, the Canary Islands, Scotland and England.

The series will consist of four episodes and will be released on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

With Carr’s trademark humour and a group of fellow comedians willing to throw themselves into unusual experiences, the series promises plenty of opportunities for mishaps, laughter and honest verdicts.

Alan Carr’s latest TV projects

The new Prime Video series is the latest in a growing list of projects for Carr, who has become a familiar face across several major broadcasters and streaming platforms.

Another major project is Castle Man, made for Disney+.

The series follows Alan as he searches for, purchases and manages a historic Scottish castle, with the ambitious aim of transforming it into a luxury space as he approaches his 50th birthday.

The programme will also feature a guest visit from Amanda Holden, who previously teamed up with Carr on their BBC renovation series.

The pair became a popular television partnership, although that renovation show has since been cancelled.

The castle project offers another glimpse into Carr’s life away from the comedy circuit, as he takes on the considerable challenge of owning and developing a historic property.

Prime Video continues to invest in UK entertainment

Carr’s new series is also part of a wider expansion of Prime Video’s British programming.

Amazon recently confirmed that it has invested more than £5 billion in the UK across television series, films, live sport, skills and production.

Its growing slate of UK originals includes action-comedy Danger Money, starring Ray Winstone, as well as a third series of Last One Laughing UK.

The comedy competition will return with Jimmy Carr as host, while Lee Mack, Katherine Ryan, Harry Hill and Richard Ayoade are among the names joining the new series.

For Alan Carr, the latest announcement adds another international project to an increasingly busy schedule.

And with Alan Carr’s Great Big Bucket List arriving just ahead of the festive season, fans will soon be able to see whether the comedian and his famous friends believe those once-in-a-lifetime experiences really are worth the effort.
