BIG BROTHER CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 9PM ON ITV2 AND ITVX
Big Brother is set for an explosive night of TV as reality icon Gemma Collins makes a sensational return to the famous house, marking the start of a brand-new game-changing twist: The House of Power.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s show.
THE GC IS BACK IN THE BUILDING
Gemma’s surprise entrance on eviction night sends a wave of excitement through the House, leaving housemates utterly gobsmacked. She is back for a short time, and she intends to make sure it is a good time.
Speaking to the shocked Housemates, she says:
Gemma: “I think for the next 48 hours, can we just have fun?! Are you alright with that, Omar? You’re up for it? I ain’t gonna splash you in the hot tub, Lynx. It’s been 10 years since I was in this House.”
Gathering housemates and their special house guest on the sofas, Big Brother officially ushers in the new era:
Big Brother: “This is Big Brother. Your time in the House of Revelations is over. It’s time for a new House. Welcome to the House of…..Power. This week, power is everything. And what better way to kick off things than introducing the powerhouse that is Gemma Collins. Gemma – welcome back.”
Gemma: “Thank you for having me. It is so gorgeous to be back here. I’ve not spoken to you for 10 years. It’s the love affair that never ended.”
Later that evening, Gemma heads into the Diary Room to share her thoughts on making a grand return to the place that made TV history:
Gemma: “Hello Big Brother.”
Big Brother: “How are you?”
Gemma: “Do you know, just to be back in this House feels sensational.”
Big Brother: “Gemma, who are you most looking forward to getting to know in the House?”
Gemma: “I’ll be honest with you… I love Rob’s singing. I was so happy when he didn’t get evicted. To be fair, I love The Queen of Scotty Road, love Rochelle. Two of the girls farted around me – I don’t know if that was excitement or what people do these days. But that was a bit of a shock. No-one farts around the GC. Let’s have it right.”
Big Brother: “Gemma, what do you make of the house this week being the House of Power?”
Gemma: “Do you know what… It’s the House of Power, I’m a powerful woman and I’m so pleased you haven’t forgotten me 10 years on.”
Big Brother: “Big Brother can never forget you, Gemma.”
Gemma: “No, to be fair, no-one can forget me.”
THE HOUSE OF POWER EXPLAINED
The revelations phase is officially over, and power is now the only currency that matters.
Big Brother: “Housemates, as you know, this week is all about the power. Soon, the House will be split into two teams. In your teams, you’ll take on a series of tasks. At stake – power in the House. Gemma, stand behind the sofas facing the screen. Gemma, you must now pick two team captains.”
Gemma: “I’m going to pick Sam – you need to embrace your inner power. And that is going to be you, honey. And I think I’m going to go with my dear, sweetie, Rob. Step into your power, boys.”
Sam and Rob select their teams for the head-to-head battles ahead.
The stakes are immediately set in the first task as Frankie and Philip head to The Power Arena. Facing ten dice, their challenge is to build a freestanding tower that must hold for at least five seconds. What sounds easy on paper quickly proves much tougher in practice.
The rewards—and punishments—for the team challenge are extreme:
- The Winning Team: Gains absolute control of the House until the next game. They are the only housemates permitted to use the kettle, toaster, air fryer, hot tub, and hair appliances—and they are the only ones allowed to sit on the sofa.
- The Losing Team: Must carry out all cleaning duties and is strictly restricted to just two minutes each in the shower.
Whether the losing team will respect these strict rules remains to be seen.
TENSION’S IN THE AIR – AND THE GC’S FEELING IT
It doesn’t take long for the pressure of the new split-house dynamic to ignite fresh drama. As night falls, tensions bubble over, leaving several housemates caught in the crossfire.
Philip and Rochelle are the first to clash, though the fallout is short-lived as the pair quickly make up—much to the entertainment of the rest of the house.
Things take a heavier turn between Omar and Rhianna, leading to a tense confrontation that leaves Rhianna upset and requiring comfort from Yasmin and Catrin.
With argument after argument erupting, the overwhelming atmosphere quickly proves a bit too much, even for The GC herself.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
