Big Brother: The Reunion – What happened during this year’s series?

Returning to screens in September for its fourth instalment on ITV, Big Brother once again proved that putting a group of strangers together under one roof can deliver plenty of drama.

This year’s housemates brought a diverse mix of personalities into the famous house, with friendships, rivalries and unexpected relationships developing throughout the competition.

There was never a shortage of entertainment, whether it was the housemates getting caught up in heated confrontations, unexpected twists changing the course of the game or moments that left viewers watching from behind their fingers.

Among the most memorable talking points were Jedward’s chaotic hot tub antics, the introduction of the mysterious mole twist and Charlotte’s decision to walk out of the house.

Add in a series of explosive arguments and a shock double eviction, and there was certainly plenty for fans to discuss.

Who won Big Brother 2026?

After weeks of drama, nominations and evictions, Rochelle was crowned the latest Big Brother champion, walking away with an incredible £100,000 prize.

Rochelle secured the winning title after beating off competition from a memorable group of housemates.

Twinks finished as the series runner-up, while Yasmin claimed third place.

Samuel finished fourth, followed by Lynx in fifth and Catrin in sixth.

The final brought an end to an unpredictable series, with Rochelle ultimately emerging victorious and securing the life-changing cash prize.

Big Brother breaks streaming records on ITVX

It hasn’t just been an eventful series inside the house. Big Brother has also enjoyed a hugely successful run for ITV, with the franchise continuing to attract impressive streaming figures.

The Big Brother brand has now surpassed 220 million streams on ITVX.

Meanwhile, the current series and its companion show alone generated more than 56 million streams, representing an increase of over 22 million streams, or 67%, compared with Big Brother and Big Brother: Late & Live last year.

This year’s run is also the most-watched series since Big Brother returned to ITV in 2023.

Its success has played a significant role in ITVX’s impressive performance, with the streaming platform recording its best October on record and achieving its biggest year-on-year increase in streaming outside the World Cup months, with an additional 90 million streams.

The figures underline just how popular the reality television phenomenon remains, with audiences continuing to tune in for the drama, unexpected moments and larger-than-life personalities.
