The brand new M&S Christmas Advert for 2026

The big budget advert is three minutes long and begins with Mrs Claus (Lucy Punch) sitting up in bed wearing M&S pink striped pyjamas (get ready to buy those!).

They’re in the North Pole and her huband Santa Claus (James Norton) is grooming his beard.

‘I wonder, my love, have you ever thought about losing the beard? They say it takes years off?’ Mrs Claus asks her husband.

‘No! It’s my thing!’

However, curious at the suggestion he does shave off his beard. Posing in just a bath towel, he shows off his new look to Mrs Claus. “Saint Nicholas!” she says cheekily and she leaps out of their bed.

Realising he’s unrecognisable, Santa wants to experience what Christmas is really like for everybody else, and travels to London to go Christmas shopping wearing a leather jacket and red scarf.

He pops into a school concert where Katherine Jenkins is performing. The ad is soundtracked by Katherine performing a version of Belinda Carlisle’s ‘Heave is a Place on Earth’. It’s an epic new mix of the song that’s extremely christmassy and big and is likely to chart, as it’s being released to compete alongside Sam Fenderr’s new Rolling Stones cover from the John Lewis ad.

Santa also gets to try M&S’s infamous Chirstmas picky bits.

After his festive experience in London, he returns home tell excitedly tell his Mrs about the experience. “Oh darling, I’ve been going for years” she tells him, before giving him a shaving set to ensure the beard stays off.

Fans are set to fall in love with the advert, which brings joy, cheekiness, and perfectly captures the Marks and Spencer magic.

Amandaland will return to TV this Christmas with a new special on BBC One.
