10pm, Channel 4
Get ready to raise a glass to the return of unfiltered, live British television comedy. Tonight on Channel 4, Celebrity Traitors star Joe Lycett steps up to the taps as landlord of The Lycett Arms—a fully licensed, technicolour, paisley-carpeted boozer built specifically to host the most unpredictable hour on UK television.
What Is Live from the Lycett Arms?
Live from the Lycett Arms is an anarchic, hour-long love letter to the great British pub. Operating under an actual alcohol license, the pub opens its doors for just one hour a week—every Friday night from 10:00pm to 11:00pm.
It is designed as a sanctuary where punters, stars, and regulars can escape the outside world, grab a real pint, and put the country to rights. Part chat show, part chaotic variety hour, and entirely live, it channels the loose, high-wire energy of classic late-night television where the wheels always threaten to come off at any given moment.
How the Show Works
Every week, landlord Joe Lycett oversees the pub’s operations, but he doesn’t do it alone. The format features a unique rotation of helpers and punters to keep the chaos flowing:
- The Trial-Shift Celebrity Manager: Each episode, a famous guest takes on a “trial shift” behind the bar, attempting to manage the taps, handle drink orders, and keep the regulars in check.
- The Comedian Guest: A guest comedian sits in to add commentary, spark banter, and stir up mischief around the pub.
- Pubgoers & Regulars: The taproom is packed with familiar TV faces, local legends, and eccentric regulars who pop up for games, quick chat segments, or unexpected disruptions.
Tonight’s Episode Highlights
Tonight, Joe is joined by a very special guest: Stephen Libby, the standard-series winner who pulled off one of the most memorable gameplay runs in recent reality TV history.
With Joe starring in The Celebrity Traitors, having an actual civilian traitor in his pub guarantees plenty of backstabbing banter, tactical debriefs, and traitorous toasts.
Previous Guests
Since opening its doors, The Lycett Arms has welcomed an eclectic mix of celebrity trial-shift managers and pub punters. Previous guests who have tried (and failed) to keep order behind the bar include:
- Katherine Parkinson & Richard Ayoade
- Sir Lenny Henry
- Joanne McNally & Lou Sanders
- Sophie Willan
