This week’s TFI Unplugged (released 9 October) is here and you can watch it in full, below:
A host of Hollywood stars, television favourites, comedy talent and musical legends are set to feature in a packed episode, with Steve Buscemi, Josh Brolin, Luke Evans, Hugh Bonneville and Craig Revel Horwood among the headline guests.
The programme will welcome a diverse mix of names from across film, television, comedy and music, with plenty to discuss, from a brand-new ITV drama and an exciting children’s book to the latest instalment of Saturday Night Live UK.
Comedians Ania Magliano and Paddy Young will also be appearing to talk about their work on Saturday Night Live UK, while legendary indie rock band The Charlatans will provide the musical entertainment.
Luke Evans Discusses New ITV Drama The Party
Welsh actor Luke Evans will be among the featured guests, discussing his latest television project, The Party, a gripping five-part ITV drama based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Day.
Evans stars as Martin Gilmour, a journalist whose life has been shaped by his longstanding friendship with Ben Fitzmaurice, a wealthy and charismatic politician played by Tom Cullen.
The pair first meet at an elite boarding school after Martin, who was raised by his working-class mother, wins a scholarship. The Fitzmaurice family provide him with the sense of belonging he has always wanted, and his loyalty to Ben remains steadfast through years of friendship and personal upheaval.
However, decades later, a lavish birthday celebration at the Fitzmaurice family estate threatens to expose secrets that have remained buried for years.
When news of Ben’s political ambitions and the resignation of the Conservative leader threatens to overshadow the party, Martin begins to fear the consequences of the publicity surrounding his friend’s plans. What follows is a story of privilege, loyalty, identity, betrayal and the devastating consequences of the past catching up with the present.
The drama moves between the events of the party, the police investigation that follows and flashbacks exploring Martin and Ben’s lives over several decades.
With an impressive supporting cast that includes Joanna Scanlan, Sarah Solemani, Lydia Leonard, Lindsay Duncan and Douglas Hodge, The Party promises a compelling combination of political intrigue and personal drama.
Evans will have plenty to discuss about bringing the character to life and adapting Elizabeth Day’s novel for television. The series is available through ITV’s broadcasting and streaming platforms, ITV1 and ITVX respectively.
Steve Buscemi Talks About Upcoming Film Wild Horse Nine
Acclaimed American actor Steve Buscemi will also join the programme to discuss his latest film, Wild Horse Nine, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 4 November.
Known for his distinctive screen presence and an extensive career spanning independent cinema, television and major Hollywood productions, Buscemi has become one of the industry’s most recognisable character actors.
His filmography includes celebrated performances in Fargo, Reservoir Dogs and The Big Lebowski, alongside his acclaimed television work in Boardwalk Empire.
His appearance offers an opportunity to discuss his latest project and reflect on a career that has taken him through a remarkable range of roles.
With Wild Horse Nine approaching its cinema release, the conversation is particularly timely for film fans looking to discover more about the actor’s latest work.
Josh Brolin Shares His Must-Watch Film Recommendations
Hollywood actor Josh Brolin will bring another major name to the guest line-up.
With a career spanning decades, Brolin has established himself as one of the most versatile actors of his generation, appearing in acclaimed dramas, Westerns, thrillers and major blockbuster franchises.
Audiences will recognise him from films including No Country for Old Men, Sicario, Dune and his portrayal of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rather than simply focusing on his own screen career, Brolin’s appearance is set to include a discussion of his must-watch film recommendations, offering an insight into the movies he believes audiences should seek out.
For cinema enthusiasts, the opportunity to hear an experienced Hollywood actor share his viewing recommendations adds another dimension to an already impressive guest list.
Hugh Bonneville Celebrates New Children’s Book
Downton Abbey and Paddington star Hugh Bonneville will be appearing to discuss his latest literary venture, Rory Sparkes and the Spy Who Loved Tea.
The book, which was released on 8 October 2026, marks another step in Bonneville’s work as a children’s author and follows his earlier adventures featuring the young protagonist.
The story centres on Rory Sparkes, who discovers a coded message hidden inside a recipe book. As he investigates, he begins to notice strange goings-on around him, including the sudden enthusiasm of his mother and teachers for an unusual and rather unpleasant tea.
Rory becomes determined to uncover the connection between the mysterious messages and the strange behaviour, leading him towards the possibility of a secret spy ring.
Combining mystery, humour and adventure, the book is designed to entertain younger readers while offering a story full of puzzles and unexpected discoveries.
Bonneville has become a familiar face to audiences through his acting work, particularly as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, in Downton Abbey and as Henry Brown in the Paddington films. His latest book provides another opportunity to showcase his storytelling abilities away from the screen.
His appearance comes at a particularly fitting time, with the book newly published and ready to find its way into the hands of young readers.
Craig Revel Horwood Turns the Pages on The Book of Panto
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood will also be joining the programme, discussing his latest book, The Book of Panto.
A familiar face to millions of viewers thanks to his sharp critiques and theatrical personality on Strictly Come Dancing, Revel Horwood has enjoyed a long career as a director, choreographer and performer.
Pantomime has long been an important part of British theatre culture, bringing together comedy, music, audience participation and spectacular stage productions. With his extensive experience in the performing arts, Revel Horwood is well placed to explore the traditions and theatrical magic that make the genre such a popular fixture of the festive season.
His book provides a timely opportunity to celebrate the world of panto, from its larger-than-life characters and comic villains to the elaborate costumes and audience interactions that have entertained generations.
Viewers can expect a conversation that draws on his theatrical experience and his enthusiasm for live entertainment, as he discusses the book and the enduring appeal of one of Britain’s best-loved stage traditions.
Ania Magliano and Paddy Young Represent Saturday Night Live UK
Comedy will also be firmly on the agenda, with Ania Magliano and Paddy Young joining the guest line-up to discuss Saturday Night Live UK.
The British adaptation of the celebrated American sketch comedy institution has brought together an ensemble of established and emerging performers, delivering topical sketches, live performances and a distinctly British take on the fast-moving format.
The show is performed in front of a live studio audience, with material written, rehearsed and performed during the week of broadcast. Its format includes an opening monologue, topical comedy, live music and Weekend Update, the programme’s satirical take on the week’s news.
Magliano and Young are among the returning cast members, contributing to the ensemble that gives the British version its own comic identity.
Their appearance will offer an opportunity to discuss life on a fast-paced television production, the process of developing topical material and the challenges of performing sketches that respond to the latest headlines.
With the second series continuing in October, Saturday Night Live UK remains a key part of Sky’s comedy offering, bringing a new generation of British comic talent to television audiences.
The Charlatans Bring the Music

The group are associated with the influential British alternative music scene, with a catalogue that includes favourites such as The Only One I Know, Weirdo and One to Another.
Their more recent work includes We Are Love, the band’s latest album, which is available to stream and purchase through their official channels.
