Big Brother has reached a new ratings high for ITV, with last night’s episode attracting the biggest audience of the series so far.
The latest instalment drew 715,000 viewers at 9pm on ITV2, making it the biggest multi-channel audience of the day by a significant margin, according to ratings data from Digital i.
The episode saw Pauline receive five nominations from Lynx, Philip, Rhianna, Rochelle and Catrin. Rob received six nominations from Frankie, Lynx, Omar, Philip, Rhianna and Yasmin. Big Brother has revealed that Pauline and Rob will be the next Housemates to face the public vote.
The strong performance comes amid a hugely successful run for the latest series, which has continued to build momentum across both linear television and streaming.
On ITVX, Big Brother has already generated 12.7 million streams, up an impressive 50% on the 8.5 million streams recorded after the first 13 episodes of last year’s series.
The current run has been driven by a captivating cast, a succession of twists and plenty of tension, with the housemates and their latest dramas remaining firmly at the centre of the conversation throughout the opening two weeks.
The series has also delivered strong results among younger viewers. Across the first two weeks, viewing among 16–34-year-olds is up 17% year-on-year, underlining the programme’s continued appeal to a key audience for ITV.
Linear viewing has remained particularly strong, with five of the six episodes in the second week recording year-on-year growth.
Last night’s episode was also the biggest episode of the series outside of the launch shows since 2024, attracting 645,000 viewers on its consolidated linear audience figure. That represents an increase of 187,000 viewers, or 41%, year-on-year — the biggest year-on-year growth recorded by the series so far.
The success extended beyond the main programme, with Big Brother: The Group Chat also reaching a new high. The companion show attracted 244,000 viewers, its biggest audience yet.
The latest figures provide further evidence of Big Brother’s strong resurgence on ITV, with the format continuing to deliver substantial audiences across ITV2 and ITVX while generating significant conversation beyond the screen.
With tensions inside the house continuing to escalate, viewers will not have long to wait for more drama.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
