Gemma Collins set for sensational Big Brother comeback this Friday

Gemma Collins is reportedly set to make a dramatic return to the Big Brother house this Friday, ten years after her unforgettable appearance on the reality show.

The TV personality, famously known as “The GC”, is understood to have agreed to join the current ITV2 series as a celebrity guest, following the explosive appearance of Jedward earlier in the run.

The news comes after reports first emerged last month that Collins was in negotiations with ITV bosses over a possible return. At the time, sources suggested producers were keen to bring the reality star back as part of the show’s new celebrity houseguest twist.

Now, according to The Sun, the deal has moved forward and Collins is expected to arrive at the house on Friday.

Her return will mark a decade since she became one of Celebrity Big Brother’s most memorable housemates during her 2016 stint. Her larger-than-life personality, fiery reactions and refusal to quietly accept the house rules quickly made her a fan favourite and produced a string of moments that have remained part of Big Brother folklore.

And producers will be hoping that lightning strikes twice.

The latest series has already embraced chaos with a string of celebrity appearances, including Jedward, whose time in the house culminated in a dramatic confrontation with the other housemates.

Their appearance proved a ratings success for ITV2, with the wider series enjoying a significant boost in viewing and streaming figures.

Collins would therefore be arriving at a particularly lively point in the series — and few former housemates are better equipped to make an entrance than The GC.

The reality star has previously spoken proudly about her time on Big Brother, describing herself as the show’s most iconic housemate.

Her television career has also expanded considerably since her original appearance. Collins recently fronted her own Sky Original series, Gemma Collins: Everything. All At Once., which follows her through a year of major personal and professional changes.

The reported comeback comes as Big Brother continues to experiment with bringing familiar faces into the house, with Tiffany Pollard also linked to the celebrity guest twist.

For viewers who remember Collins’ first stint, her return promises a very different Big Brother experience — but potentially just as much drama.

After ten years away, The GC could be about to reclaim her throne.
