LIVE: Who is banished from The Celebrity Traitors tonight? Latest updates

This article will be updated live.

The Celebrity Traitors returns tonight at 8pm on BBC One with another dramatic Round Table — but who will be banished from the castle?

The result is: Richard received the most votes and was banished.

Bella, Hannah and Leigh-Anne were the only other contestants to receive a vote. Maya – who voted for Richard – and Richard both looked heartbroken as the faithful took the Traitor down one by one.

“Thank you for having me and for giving me an almost bingo full house of votes. I have always wanted to be a Traitor as you know… and sometimes in life your dreams do come true and sometimes they dont. I am a….unfaithful Traitor!”

The celebrities burst into a round of cheers and applause and Richard later admitted “I have managed to checkmate myself!… Oh but I’ve just had a blast”.

Claudia told the Faithful “this has never happened before. Your first try, and you got one!”

Later, both Hannah and Jerry were spared from murder, as the Traitors chose to recruit Hannah.

• Richard E Grant faces questions after appearing to reveal that he was a Traitor
• The Faithful must decide who they can trust as suspicion and paranoia take hold
• The latest banishment will be revealed as the BBC One episode unfolds

The second episode of The Celebrity Traitors ended with one huge question hanging over the castle: had Richard E Grant done enough to convince the Faithful that he was not a Traitor?

The answer could have been rather more complicated than usual, given that Richard had, within moments of being selected as a Traitor, quite literally told the other celebrities that he was one.

Richard E Grant appeared to put the Faithful on the wrong track, leaving viewers wondering whether his extraordinary admission would ultimately come back to haunt him.

The revelation has already become one of the most talked-about moments of the series, after Richard seemingly told the other players he was a Traitor shortly after being chosen for the role.

Now, as the celebrities return to the castle, the question is whether anyone has managed to work out what is really going on.

Who will be banished from The Celebrity Traitors tonight?

The latest Round Table is set to put the celebrities under even more pressure as they attempt to identify a Traitor hiding among them.

As always, the stakes could hardly be higher. Get it right and the Faithful could remove one of the Traitors from the game. Get it wrong, however, and another innocent celebrity could be sent home.

LIVE UPDATE: The latest banishment will be added here as soon as the result is confirmed during tonight’s episode.

The show has already demonstrated its ability to deliver gobsmacking moments around the Round Table, with seemingly small decisions capable of sending the game in a completely different direction.

Tonight’s decision could prove just as significant.

What happens on The Celebrity Traitors tonight?

Before the next banishment, the celebrities must put their trust in one another during a new mission.

But rather than bringing everyone closer together, the challenge is set to fuel further suspicion and paranoia among the players.

With everyone attempting to work out who is telling the truth — and who could be secretly working against them — relationships inside the castle are likely to come under increasing strain.

And with the Traitors continuing to operate in secret, even apparently innocent behaviour could suddenly look suspicious.

The Round Table returns

When night descends, the tension rises once again as the celebrities gather for another dramatic Round Table.

The crucial question is whether the Faithful will finally manage to expose a Traitor — or whether their suspicions will once again fall on the wrong person.

Richard E Grant’s extraordinary early revelation adds another layer to the mystery, with viewers now left to watch closely to see whether the other celebrities pick up on the clues.
